WHO THIS IS FOR
FIRST-TIME ROUTE
Your crew is heading into airspace they haven’t operated in and you want them prepared for the specifics, not relying on generic flight planning resources.
RETURNING TO A ROUTE
Your crew has flown this route before, but enough time has passed that procedures, equipment requirements, or contingencies may have shifted. A fresh walkthrough is worth the time.
SEASONED OPERATORS
Your team has the international hours and the institutional knowledge. You still book the brief because you value the review and the preparation it provides for the specifics of a trip.

INSTRUCTORS
Trip Briefings are walked through by the Scott IPC instructors, experienced international captains with decades of experience flying international and oceanic operations. They’ve operated the routes your trip will fly, navigated the airspace, dealt with the weather, and managed the contingencies.
WHAT’S COVERED
We don’t run a canned briefing. Each Trip Briefing is scoped to your specific routes, destinations, airspace, and the operational considerations relevant to your mission.
ROUTES
North Atlantic (NAT HLA), West Atlantic (WAT), Central East Pacific (CEP), North Pacific (NOPAC), and the specific routes & track systems your trip will use, including current routings, validity windows, and traffic considerations.
DESTINATIONS
Country-specific procedures, airfield idiosyncrasies, customs and ground handling, alternate airfields, all covered in detail for your specific destinations.
AIRSPACE
Airspace structures, ADS-B, CPDLC, ADS-C equipment requirements, RVSM compliance, and any approvals or authorizations needed for the routes you’ll fly.
WEATHER
Seasonal weather considerations, NOTAM review, alternate planning, and the regional patterns that affect oceanic and high-latitude operations.
PROCEDURES
Oceanic clearances, position reporting, separation standards, communication procedures, all following current ICAO, regional, and NAT Doc guidance.
CONTINGENCIES
Communication failure procedures, weather diversions, fuel contingencies, equipment failures, the contingencies most relevant to your specific route.
TOOLS
Trip Briefings can integrate the operational tools from the Scott IPC App, so the briefing maps directly to what’s in your hands during the trip.

We start with a planning session, your team meets with ours to review routes, destinations, depth, and length. Two weeks notice requested; less is considered case-by-case.

Live or Remote-Live via Zoom. Customized to your trip. Working with Scott Plot® (or your preferred app), the ICRH®, and your trip package, so your crews leaves with everything they need in hand.

Trip Briefings may run longer than expected, to give room for additional questions and deep dives, crews can extend at the published hourly rate, or wrap when you have what you need.
