WHAT IT IS
Scott Plot® is a fully-featured electronic plotting solution for international and oceanic operations, designed and maintained by the same instructors who teach Scott IPC® International Procedures Training. The app delivers preflight planning, in-flight plotting, situational awareness tools, custom checklists, and an automatic Journey Logbook from a single iPad workflow. Crews use it from the moment a flight plan is imported through block-in at the destination, to include Journey Logbook creation.
Scott Plot is part of the Scott IPC iPadOS app, available worldwide on the App Store. It runs alongside the International Cockpit Reference Handbook® (ICRH®) on the same device, with the two products bundled into one download for crews who subscribe to both.
HOW SCOTT PLOT IS DIFFERENT

Most electronic flight bags treat oceanic plotting as one feature among many. Scott Plot was built the other way around: oceanic and international operations are the whole product, not an add-on.

In nearly all cases, yes. Scott Plot ingests international flight plans from every major provider: ARINCDirect, Universal, Jeppesen, World Fuel Services, FlightBridge, and others. Crews import the plan they're already filing; Scott Plot reads the route, plots the ETPs, and prepares the chart automatically. If your operation uses a provider that isn't currently supported, the Scott IPC engineering team adds support.

Scott Plot works with the iPad's built-in GPS and with external receivers for higher accuracy and redundancy. Current supported sources include Bad Elf, Dual XGPS 160, Stratus 3, and Satcom Direct. For oceanic operations an external GPS source is recommended so position fixes stay independent of cellular GPS coverage. Scott IPC recommends crews always verify external GPS sources against the aircraft's navigation systems.

Scott Plot is part of the Scott IPC App. The App includes Scott Plot, the ICRH®, the Flight Bag, and the in-app training module. So “the Scott IPC App” is the container; Scott Plot is the plotting product inside it.

No. Scott Plot is designed for crews who already have international procedures training, whether from Scott IPC or another provider. It's a fit for crews trained elsewhere, individual pilots, and departments running their own training who want the right cockpit tool for the crossing.

Your Scott Plot data isn't lost. If a subscription lapses, access pauses until it's renewed — reach out and we'll get you reactivated. If a flight's data is corrupted or overwritten in flight, Scott Plot's recovery tools can restore or reopen it; see the data-recovery guides in the Help Center, or contact support@scottipc.com and we'll help you recover it.

Yes. Scott Plot® is a full electronic North Atlantic (NAT) plotting chart on iPad — a digital alternative to the traditional paper North Atlantic plotting chart (such as the Jeppesen chart). It reads your filed flight plan, builds the route, and plots the ETPs automatically, supports chart scaling under 1/10 nautical mile for exact SLOP positioning, and shows NAT and Pacific track depictions with full track details. No paper chart, pencil, or plotter required.
