TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Scott IPC® website (scottipc.com), the Scott IPC Client Portal, our iPadOS applications Scott Plot® and the ICRH®, and our training services (collectively, the “Services”), provided by Scott International Procedures, LLC (“Scott IPC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
The Services are intended for aviation professionals and organizations. If you create a Client Portal account, you agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and remain responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Services for your internal, professional purposes, subject to these Terms and any subscription or order terms. Our applications are licensed, not sold; your use of Scott Plot and the ICRH apps is also subject to the applicable app-store terms and any in-app license.
Access to certain Services (including training and app subscriptions) requires payment. Fees, billing, and any renewal or cancellation terms are described at the point of purchase or in your order. Payments are processed by a third-party gateway.
You agree not to: copy, redistribute, resell, or sublicense the Services or their content except as expressly permitted; reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code; share account access beyond your licensed users; upload unlawful or infringing material; interfere with or disrupt the Services; or use the Services in violation of applicable law.
The Services and their content — including International Procedures Training materials, the ICRH® (International Cockpit Reference Handbook®), Scott Plot®, related software, text, graphics, and the marks “Scott Plot®,” “ICRH®,” and “Because safety is in the details™” — are owned by Scott IPC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights granted here, no rights are transferred to you.
All other product names, logos, and trademarks referenced in the Services — including ForeFlight and ARINCDirect — are the property of their respective owners. Any such reference is nominative and does not imply affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement by those owners.
If you submit content to us (for example, through forms or the Portal), you confirm you have the right to do so and grant us the limited right to use it to provide and improve the Services. You remain responsible for the content you submit.
Scott IPC’s training, the ICRH®, and Scott Plot® are professional aids and decision-support tools. They do not replace official regulatory sources, current aeronautical information, an operator’s approved procedures, or the judgment and responsibilities of the pilot-in-command and operator.
Except as expressly stated, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scott IPC and its officers, employees, and instructors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of or inability to use the Services.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Scott IPC from claims and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms or applicable law.
The Services may reference or link to third-party sites or services (for example, the App Store or a payment gateway). We are not responsible for third-party content, terms, or practices.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Services for violation of these Terms or as needed to operate the Services. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including Sections 5 and 7–10) survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, U.S.A., without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
This section applies to online, self-paced training courses and to Scott IPC app subscriptions, which are purchased from and billed by Scott IPC directly and not through the Apple App Store.
App subscriptions. Scott IPC app subscriptions are licensed to a single user and limited to one device. They are billed annually at the stated monthly rate and renew automatically at the then-current rate unless you cancel before the renewal date. You are responsible for keeping your billing information current. To cancel or ask about billing, contact training@scottipc.com.
App Subscription Refunds. Generally, app subscriptions are not eligible for a refund due to cancellation. We may approve a refund request provided the Client meets both of the following requirements:
1. The Client must notify us in writing of their desire to cancel within 72 hours of placing the subscription order. Requests must be sent via email (verbal requests are not sufficient) to training@scottipc.com; and
2. The Client must not have downloaded the app.
If a refund is issued via credit card, a 6% processing fee will be withheld.
Online course access. Online courses must be completed within 90 days of registration. If your access expires, you may request a one-week extension before the expiration date. If your access expired no more than three weeks ago, you may purchase a one-time, three-month extension. If more than three weeks have passed, you must re-enroll at standard pricing to regain access. Online courses are not transferable to another person or organization.
Online course refunds. Online course orders are generally non-refundable. We may approve a refund only if both of the following are met: (1) you email a cancellation request to training@scottipc.com within 72 hours of placing the order, and verbal requests are not accepted; and (2) you have not logged into the course beyond the maximum time for its length:
Courses 30 minutes to 1 hour: up to 10 minutes. Courses 1 to 2 hours: up to 15 minutes. Courses 2 hours to 7 hours 59 minutes: up to 20 minutes. Courses 8 hours or more: up to 30 minutes.
After 72 hours, or once the applicable time is exceeded, the course is non-refundable.
Separation from employer. A client who leaves the purchasing organization is not eligible for a credit or refund, regardless of time spent or time remaining, and access to digital resources will end.
Different Services are governed by different agreements. In addition to these Terms:
Live and remote-live training is governed by the Training Services Agreement (TSA) signed for that engagement, which controls pricing, class minimums, scheduling, cancellation, and reimbursement.
Online training and app subscriptions are governed by the section above and by the terms shown at the point of purchase.
The Scott IPC iPadOS app (Scott Plot® and the ICRH®) is licensed under the End User License Agreement (EULA) presented in the app. The app is distributed through the Apple App Store, and your download and device use are subject to Apple's applicable terms. Scott IPC, not Apple, provides and bills any subscription, and the app processes no payments through the App Store.
Where a signed TSA or the app EULA addresses a topic these Terms also cover, that agreement controls for that Service.
