Dave Maloy

Dave is a seasoned aviation professional with 35 years of experience as an Aviation Safety Inspector – Operations and over 37 years in the USAF Reserves as a medic, instructor navigator for C-130 crews, and Chief of Command and Control at the largest Reserve Base in the United States. During his time as an Aviation Safety Inspector at the FAA, Dave reviewed international operations manuals, observed training, participated in updates to ACs and other documents, and performed tabletops and validation flights for applicable Part 91, 125, 135, and 121 operators.

He was the lead instructor for oceanic and international operations at the FAA Academy and chaired a NAT Operations Subgroup responsible for developing oceanic checklists, the Strategic Lateral Offset Procedure (SLOP), and RVSM. Outside of aviation, Dave enjoys collecting antiques and driving classic cars.
