Revised Mexico APIS Requirements

Mexico has significantly revised the submission of APIS documentation, effective September 17. It is now a two-step process that applies to all private and charter flights.

First submission — made within two hours before departure, for both inbound and outbound flights. Second submission — confirmation of passengers on board, sent after the aircraft doors close and before takeoff.

There are three ways to submit: the ARINC Portal (the only authorized vendor, with an immediate accept/reject/error response); email of a completed Excel spreadsheet (strict formatting, limited to roughly four trips per year, with no confirmation); or a third-party service provider.

Submission errors can result in substantial fines — refer to your service provider and official guidance to ensure compliance.
