+

New

  • Weather: Worldwide graphical METAR/TAF weather is now available on the chart and within the airport and ETP properties. METAR symbols follow standard sky coverage and flight category conventions. Inflight updates require internet connectivity.
  • Data Recovery Safeguard: Added support for restoring the Journey Logbook to the most recent valid data point in the event of inflight data corruption. Backup snapshots are now recorded every five minutes, allowing recovery from the most recent snapshot if the current logbook is corrupted. This supplements existing data recovery features.

Improved

  • Tracks: Track details are now resizable and can be viewed alongside flight plan information and other chart tools. Eastbound and Westbound track labels have been improved for readability, and directional arrows are now added for enhanced visibility.
  • Plotting Chart Tools: A 5-minute check option has been added to the Oceanic Flight Reminders in the Preflight Wizard. You can now toggle between 5- or 10-minute checks in the Oceanic Flight Reminders section. 5/10-minute checks are automatically recorded in a position report with a timestamp. These reminders are now also visible when viewing the ICRH.
  • ETPs: ETP properties have been redesigned for better scannability. ETP chart arrows now display current METAR information and default to visible for a quick view of ETP alternate data.
  • Chart: Airport display filtering has been improved to reduce chart clutter. Labels and icons for airports in day/night modes are now blue for consistency, and larger symbols improve readability. The chart layers menu has been reorganized for quicker layer selection.
  • Airport and Waypoint Properties: The properties for airports and waypoints have been redesigned for easier access to information. Notes popovers now require a ‘Done’ button to dismiss, avoiding accidental closures.
  • Journey Logbook: The layout has been improved with better button placement. The Lat/Long entry fields have been improved to enhance the Journey Logbook's usability.
  • Route Editing: The Journey Logbook now includes both the original and updated flight plans when a change occurs in flight. The Preflight Wizard now processes updated flight plans and presents the amended route for verification in text and graphical forms.
  • Sync: Visual improvements have been made to the Sync connection to streamline connect, disconnect, and reconnect scenarios.

Fixed

  • Numerous bug fixes and performance improvements.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to common questions about the Scott IPC app, support, training access, and updates.

How do I get technical support for the app or the ICRH?

For technical issues, use the Contact App Support form below or email support@scottipc.com. Our team handles app functionality, GPS connectivity, account access, and data sync questions during business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Mountain). For training-related questions, email training@scottipc.com instead.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Send bug reports and feature requests to support@scottipc.com or use the Contact App Support form below. Include the version number from your app settings and, if it helps us reproduce the issue, your aircraft tail number. Feature requests go straight to the instructor-engineers who build the app — many of its features started as crew suggestions.

Why can't I find my training in the Scott IPC app?

The Scott IPC app (Scott Plot and the ICRH) and your International Procedures Training coursework live in separate systems. Course materials and completion records are in the client portal at portal.scottipc.com, not inside the iPadOS app. If you've registered for training but can't access it, email training@scottipc.com and we'll confirm your enrollment.

How often does the app get updated?

Regularly — the app ships fixes and feature additions throughout the year, and the ICRH reference is revised continuously as international regulations change. Updates arrive through the App Store; enable automatic updates to always run the latest compatible version. Every release is documented in the release notes above.
