This module provides the pilot with an overview of procedures regarding oceanic clearances in the North Atlantic. It covers the various means of obtaining your clearance to include voice and data link. This module presents the contents of clearances for both voice and data link to include when changes have been made, either from filed or amended by ATC. Procedures are discussed as to the proper procedures to mitigate errors in loading and verifying that the clearance is correctly loaded in the navigation system. As the procedures for obtaining clearances vary slightly between FIRs, highlights of each of the six NAT FIRs are presented.
