Although this write-up is long, the process is actually very simple. Many screenshots are available for those who have trouble.
For the experienced users, this is the short version:
- Open the App Store
- Search for ICRH
- Our app will be the only result
- Open the app and press the "Settings" button in the upper right corner.
- Enter your credentials (username/password)
- Press the "Register" button
If you're still having trouble - or are unable to follow the instructions above, this is a step-by-step walk-through. The images below will zoom to larger versions when clicked.
| 1. | Locate and tap your App Store icon on the home screen of your iPad. It will appear as a blue square with a white A in the middle of a white circle. The A appears to be made of a pencil, a ruler and a paintbrush. In this image, it can be seen at the bottom of the 2nd column and appears with a red "10" mark in the upper right corner of the icon. |  |
| 2. | When the app store opens, it will appear very busy and filled with all sorts of nonsense. Ignore all of the apps and look to the upper right corner of the screen for the search box. |  |
| 3. | Tap into the search bar and type "ICRH". You may see search suggestions appear below the search box as you're typing, but you should ignore them. When finished typing, press the "Search" button on the on-screen keyboard. |  |
| 4. | The Scott IPC ICRH app will be the only result of your search. This screenshot is an example of what you will most likely see. The small cloud and arrow indicates that the app has been installed previously (but is not currently installed). It may also be shown with a small button with the word "Install" in place of the cloud. Either way, press the cloud or "install" button to initiate the installation of the app. |  |
| 5. | Once installed, the cloud or "Install" button will become an "Open" button. |  |
| 6. | Once the install begins, you may also press your home button (the round one at the bottom of the screen) and look for the new ICRH icon on your screen. While the install is in progress, the icon will appear with a countdown-pie graph over it. The app is so small and happen so quickly, we couldn't get a screenshot of the pie graph. Our app icon appears as the Scott IPC globe logo as can be seen in the lower right corner of this screenshot. Open the app by tapping the ICRH icon. |  |
| 7. | When initially opened, the ICRH app will contain only this intro screen and no content. Without registering the app, the only thing accessible is the conversion calculator. To register, locate and tap the "Settings" button in the upper right corner. |  |
| 8. | The settings screen is extremely simple. When still unregistered, the only buttons available are "Register" and "Cancel" |  |
| 9. | Tap each the username and password fields to enter the login credentials sent to you in email or as part of your course package. |  |
| 10. | When finished typing your login credentials, press the "Register" button. After a few seconds, you will receive a message. Normally, this will be a success message as can be seen in this screenshot. If you receive any other message, double-check that your credentials were typed in correctly and if it still fails - call for support. |  |
| 11. | Upon clicking "OK" to the success message, you may see the download progress pinwheel. |  |
| 12. | When the download/update is finished, your app will return you to the front cover of the book, and your installation is complete. |  |
